National Science Seminar-2017

GUJCOST coordinate and organize the National Science Seminar for school students in Gujarat on a specific theme and topic. For the current academic year 2017-18, the programme has been announced by the NCSM. The topic for the National Science Seminar is "Swachh Bharat: Role of S&T Promises and Challenges”

Each School in Science Club will participate at District Level. A brief about the program and draft schedule is enclosed herewith for kind perusal.

You are requested to circulate among the GUJCOST Science Club School as well as other school in your district and to conduct the District Level Competition in July 2017. The state level programme will be held at Gandhinagar / Ahmedabad on August, 2017.

The Two winners from each District will participate in State Level Science Seminar andonly one winner from Gujarat State is eligible for National Level Competition, which will be held at Birla Industrial & Technological Museum on 9th November, 2017 (Thursday).

State Level Science Seminar 2017

GUJCOST has organized the State Level Science Seminar - 2017 for Secondary Schools of Gujarat State for the year 2017, on the theme "Swachh Bharat: Role of Science and Technology Promises and Challenges” at Gujarat Science City on 30th August, 2017. A total of 64 selected students from 32 districts of Gujarat participated in the State Level Science Seminar.

Dr. Vipin Kumar, Director and Chief Innovation Officer, National Innovation Foundation, Gandhinagar graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and handed over prizes and certificates to the meritorious students.

The students at the State Level competition has received cash award for Rs.10,000/-, Rs.7,500/- and Rs. 5,000/- as first, second and third prize respectively. All the students have received mementos, certificates and a free subscription of Safari magazines for one year at the programme.

Ms. Hemangi S Asawat, Std. X student of Airport School, Ahmedabad was adjourned as State winner and to represent Gujarat at the National Science Seminar at Kolkata. She was awarded with Rs.10,000/- as cash prize, certificate, safari magazine and memento from the Chief Guest during the valedictory session.

Patel Priyanshi Mohan, Std X student of St. Fransic High School, Valsad stood second prize with Rs.7500/- as cash prize and Tiya Jain, Std X student of Chaitanya School, Gandhinagar and Amogh Sharma, Std.IX student of Sir J J High School, Navsari jointly won Rs.5000/- each as the third prize. They also received the certificate, safari magazine and memento from the Chief Guest during the valedictory session.
