Scientific Events Calendar-2023

Gujarat Council on Science and Technology (GUJCOST), working under the aegis of the Dept of Science and Technology, Govt of Gujarat has emerged as an effective and large-scale science, education, and popularization platform in the state and country. GUJCOST has developed a strong network of Regional Science Centres, District Science Centres, Science Clubs, Innovation Clubs, Design Labs all across the state and created an STI ecosystem in the state for inclusive growth and sustainable development. Science & Technology is the key to all development for our people and the planet. For this, science awareness is the tool to tackle all challenges. Public awareness of science is everything relating to the awareness, attitudes, behaviours, opinions, and activities that comprises the relations between the younger generation and common citizens in the society as a whole to scientific knowledge and organization.

GUJCOST is pleased to introduce the exemplified scientific event calendar for the year 2023. The year 2023 has been declared by the United Nations as the International Year of Millets (IYM 2023). The calendar describes various scientific events, including a list of important scientific days and weeks, important inventions and discoveries that changed society, as well as the birth and death anniversaries of eminent scientists, who are the role models of young minds. This calendar is an endeavour to mark our effort to bring science to people and people to science, and to encourage one and all for the development of a scientific mind-set.

GUJCOST invites all the heads of schools, colleges and scientific and Academic institutions, Science Club Coordinators, science academicians and members of the media to organize a series of scientific programs and outreach activities in their respective places to mark the celebration of important scientific days and events on the theme as per this event calendar.
