National Science Seminar-2023
National Science Seminar (NSS) is the program of National Council of Science Museums (NCSM), Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India for school students of Std. VIII to X. GUJCOST coordinates and organizes the National Science Seminar for school students in Gujarat State on a specific theme and topic. For the current academic year 2023-24, the programme has been announced by the NCSM. This year, topic of the Seminar is “Millets – A Super Food or a Diet Fad?”.
Important Dates
District Level had organized during August-September, 2023 at GUJCOST Community Science Centre of Gujarat. State Level had organized on 25th September, 2023 at Gujarat Science City, Ahmedabad.
The two winners from each district had participated in State Level Science Seminar and only one winner from Gujarat State is eligible for National Level Competition, which was held at National Science Centre, Delhi on the 12th October, 2023.

Gujarat State Level National Science Seminar 2023
GUJCOST has successfully organized the State Level Science Seminar – 2023 for Secondary Schools of Gujarat State for the year 2023, on the theme “Millets – A Super Food or a Diet Fad?” at Gujarat Science City on 25th September, 2023.
Dr. Rashmi Sharma, Associate Head / Scientist F, Department of INSPIRE Program, DST, Govt. of India had graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and motivated the Millet Scientists to work for the popularization of Millets among the masses.
The students at the State Level competition received cash award for Rs.10,000/-, Rs.7,500/- and Rs. 5,000/- as first, second and third prize, respectively. All the students had received certificates and a free subscription of Science Reporter magazines for one year at the program.
