National Science Seminar-2025
National Science Seminar (NSS) is the program of National Council of Science Museums (NCSM), Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India for school students of Std. VIII to X. GUJCOST coordinates and organizes the National Science Seminar for school students in Gujarat State on a specific theme and topic. For the current academic year 2025-26, the programme has been announced by the NCSM. This year, topic of the Seminar was “Quantum Age Begins: Potentials and Challenges”.
Timeline of the NSS 2025
The National Science Seminar (NSS) conducted in three stages across Gujarat and at the national level. District-level seminars organized by the GUJCOST’s Community Science Centres (CSCs), followed by the State-Level Seminar and the National-Level Competition.

Gujarat State Level National Science Seminar 2025
GUJCOST has successfully organized the State Level Science Seminar – 2025 on the theme “Quantum Age Begins: Potentials and Challenges”.
GUJCOST organized the district level NSS through its network of Community Science Centres at each district, which drew enthusiastic participation from over 10,000 students of Classes VIII to X.
From this, 66 district level winner students had selected for the State-Level National Science Seminar which was held at Government Science College, Gandhinagar, on 25th September 2025.
Students showcased their ideas, creativity, and imagination. Their presentations reflected the curiosity and confidence with which Gujarat’s students are engaging with the promises and challenges of the Quantum Era.
Emerging at the top, Ms. Khushi Kushwaha, a Class X student from Marothia English Medium School, Vapi, Valsad, was declared the state level winner and honoured with a cash prize of Rs. 10,000, trophy, certificate, and a Human to Science kit.

Ms. Khushi Kushwaha represented Gujarat at the National Science Seminar at Visvesvaraya Industrial & Technological Museum (VITM), Bangalore, held on 30th October 2025. She was the runner up at the national level. She got the cash prize of Rs. 24,000, trophy and certificate at the national level.
