National Rural IT Quiz - 

Every year the department of IT, BT, and S&T, Government of Karnataka in association with Tata Consultancy Services organizes the National Rural IT Quiz for school students in Gujarat.

GUJCOST is organizing District Level Rural IT Quiz 2025 competition through respective CSCs as per following terms and condition:

  1. Only single student, studying out of corporation area in std. 8th to 12th can participate in Rural IT Quiz program.
  2. Maximum Student from rural school’s registration is compulsory.
  3. Top twelve students from each district will participate in State level Rural IT Quiz program. A brief about the program and draft schedule is as follows.

    National Level Bangalore Tech Summit in Bengaluru 20th November 2025

  • Gujarat student shines on national stage: Master Pratham Dand emerged as a National Finalist at the National Rural IT Quiz 2025, held during the Bangalore Tech Summit, Bengaluru, bringing pride to Gujarat.
  • GUJCOST’s key coordinating role: The Gujarat Council on Science and Technology (GUJCOST) coordinated the district- and state-level Rural IT Quiz across Gujarat through its network of Regional and Community Science Centres.
  • Strong statewide participation: The 2025 Gujarat edition saw participation from 1,143 schools and over 12,625 students at the district level during September–October 2025, reflecting widespread engagement from rural regions.
  • National platform for digital literacy: The National Rural IT Quiz, jointly organized by the Government of Karnataka and TCS, is India’s pioneering initiative to promote IT awareness and digital skills among rural students.
  • Inspiring future innovators: Pratham’s achievement highlights Gujarat’s growing digital and knowledge ecosystem and reinforces GUJCOST’s commitment to nurturing scientific temperament, innovation, and experiential learning among students.
